How my day went

What did I do today?

Got up.

Went to work.

Had lunch with my mom.

And I bought one of these

It may not be a Stunt Kia, like Chantel has, but like it a lot. I think I am going to call it "The BlueMobile." It is a 2007 Honda Fit, my first new car ever. (I know buying a new car is stupid. Depreciation blah blah blah. So sue me.)

Here I feel I must say "Squee!"

  2. Congrats!!!!

I'm throwing virtual silver coins in your car....that's what we do here on Long Island when someone gets a new car.

  3. It's very cute. It reminds me of my old mini.

  4. Nice. Great color too. What's your projected mileage? Did that sound guyish? LOL.

  5. Maggie - 37/31, which is the main reason I bought this one.

    Congrats!!! That's awesome!

I do love me a Honda. From a mileage standpoint, they can't be beat.

My first (and only) brand new car was a 1991 Honda Civic hatch, pretty much the exact same color as your new car. I drove it from Rhode Island to Maryland on one tank of gas, which cost me ten bucks.

    It's really cute.

  10. Nothin' better than a brand-new car. I hate that depreciation bullshit which is a handmedown from the depression era. I like to lease my cars - then when they get dirty, I give them back. Not really. But I see no sense in funneling my money into the auto mechanic's pocket.

I almost bought a Fit! They're cute. Somehow in a roundabout way I ended up with a Hyundai instead, but I love it. I bought new too, so sue me. Congratulations!

  12. There's nothing like your first new car to indicate that you really are an adult. Scary huh?

    Pretty color!

  14. My friend has one of those and she loves it. I think they are adorable. Not a word commonly associated with a car, but hey, they are. Cute, cute, cute. And great gas mileage.

  15. That gas milage is pretty awesome. I'm curious, is there enough interior to bring an eight foot board home from the hardware store? You know angle it from the front passenger seat.

    Very cute car.

Today my car was declared a write-off. Got a cute car idea that seats (at least) 6?

  17. Oh that's totally exciting. There's something to be said for owning a car that no one's before you has ever ridden in, smoked in, ate smelly curry in, crashed, or programmed the radio to Lite FM stations. Enjoy it!

  18. Congrats! And buying a new car is not necessarily stupid. I've never heard such an argument.

    Enjoy!!!
