Well, Dobbs, sometimes you choose the destination and other times the destination chooses you.
I got an empanada de camote, which is a sweet potato turnover (hey, there is sweet potato pie, why not a sweet potato turnover?), one of the long skinny flaky things with cherry filling, and a big huge giant bright yellow sugar cookie. No, I didn't eat them all at once. They were really good, though, especially the sugar cookie.
It just amazes me that a scone at Starbucks is $3 and a wonderful empanada is 45 cents. Crazy.
