Randomosity

1. I am loving all these comments lately. What did I do to deserve this?

2. Why doesn't everyone subscribe to Linkateria? It would make me so very happy.

3. I know I have sworn not to talk about work on my blog. But you can always email me.

4. Why does everyone do nothing but complain about their spouses/partners but then, when I say I am single, try to remedy MY situation??

5. Another one for the Suebob: Supergenius category: the other day I told my investment advisor that if I was going to invest in an international fund, it wouldn't be China because I felt there were more scandals on the way. Lead paint, anyone?

6. I complain about housing prices here all the time (average home price: $650k). But a couple times a week, my heart just bursts with love over how beautiful and wonderful this place is. Does that happen to other people, elsewhere?

We like you! We really, really like you!

Smart one I am - didn't know you had other blogs - off to check them out!

Oh - and people have a hard time believing me when I say I don't want to get married again - I want to be the only one in my immediate family that does not have two divorces under their belt! What's wrong with being single???

I subscribed to Linkateria before you even brought it up! It was me!

I miss not being able to contribute to True Employee Confessions, now that I don't have a job.

I think China is badly trying to destroy the world.

Being single is great. If I didn't have the World's Best Boyfriend, I would prefer to be single.

Nothing wrong with being single-I hate obsessive 'matchmakers'.

I visit Linkateria! I do! I do.

I'm like you-I complain about over development and housing prices all the time and then fawn over how beautiful everything is.

I love where I live - in terms of beauty. But, yeah, you can't afford to live here anymore.

But, I have to say, when I watch those house-flipping shows on tv, I am AMAZED at the prices people get for FUGLY newer construction in other parts of the country. At least the high prices here are for historic homes with hardwood floors, plaster walls, and real wood decorative accents and window sills.

Yeah, I'm a house snob. But I'd live in a shed if it was on the beach.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention:
We NYers laugh out loud at your $650k houses.

Years ago after breaking off a 4-year relationship, I was single for awhile. My aunts were worried for me. One even asked me "Do you think he'd take you back?" WTF. I dumped HIM!

The next family wedding? I took a girlfriend. I think they were scared I was a lesbian or something. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)Sure shut them up tho... heehee.

Where I grew up there's a very strong attitude amongst the women -- that women still need men to take care of them. And I see it alot in the women I'm friends with yet that live there and in my own family.

Gah. I just don't get that...

Singlehood is good. I see my gfs and wives dump so much energy into their bfs and husbands I don't see it reciprocated. I once attended a Brewers ballgame with the most pathetic women I have ever witnessed. Their husbands were there for the beer, the Brewers, and their buds. The wives were there for their husbands, as if it were still 1997 and those men were still enchanted by those women. What was sad was the women weren't enough for each other, as opposed to the men. So, those women spent the game wondering about what the men were thinking about them. The men spent the game glad to be away from their wives. I know this isn't the state of all marriage, but it was the sad state of those marriages.

#6 - Yes. Although with all the insane $4 million condos being built, I am loving my neighborhood less. It makes me sad.
