How I Passed the Day

I didn't go to work. I awoke with a knot between my shoulder blades the size of a monkey's fist.

I put on a heat wrap, took some Advil, and I may be the only woman in American who is using an electric wand massager for its intended purpose.

I could have worked okay, but since I could not turn my head, I didn't feel safe to drive.

Instead, I played with my new Canon Pixma 470 scanner/printer and a box of old photos. The results are over on Flickr. This is just a start.

Elvie is pretty much my idol now. I love her.

Yeah, I should never be left alone with a scanner.

Oh, that's so sad about how you're using your massager! Feel better.

Sorry about your back. That photo really evokes the era, doesn't it?

GREAT photos. I'm a sucker for old family pics. Hope your ouchie is better soon.

Hope you are feeling better. One time a friend of mine had a wisdom tooth removed and when I went to take her some ice cream, she was sitting on the couch with one of those massager wands on her cheek trying to relieve the pain. I begged her to let me take a picture, but she wouldn't. Dang.

Sorry about your back, but happy the massager is at least getting a little play!

First, that picture is great, for so many reasons. Expressions, picture (and scanner!) quality, color, etc.

Second, you went from being a totally funny-looking baby to a very handsome young girl! What a handsome family.

And third, if I had that side table I'd be using it too.

I really enjoyed looking at your old photos, since I'm doing the same thing these days...

Hope your back feels better!

I've got a neck knot too. Unfortunately I can't talk about it because its from work. Tiger balm and hot towells is how I get them to go away.

I love your old photos, I should scan some of mine.

XOXOXO
