Blahgaversary

I missed my 3rd blogiversary. But only by 3 days, so not that bad, really. Especially considering I have never, ever mailed a birthday card fewer than 2 days after someone's birthday.

I looked back at my first posts, some of which were never published, but only saved as drafts. Man, I was MAD back then. Whoo. I was on the verge of moving out from the house where I had lived with the exMr Stapler for almost 4 years and I was not a happy girl. Back then, it was all his fault.

Three years later, things are less clear and assigning blame seems much less important. I will also be eternally grateful to him for supporting me financially while I went back to college. That made it possible for me to achieve the lush lifestyle I have now (I can support me AND my dog! Eat crackers AND cheese!) which I certainly never could have done in this expensive town before. So.

Occasionally I think I should try to make my blogging life less complicated. Pare my feed reader down from 150 blogs to the 20 or so I really, really love. But removing a blog from my reader is always a Sophie's Choice and inevitable ends up with me running into that blogger shortly thereafter and being totally embarrassed I haven't been reading their blog and wondering why I ever took it off my reader to boot.

I just love you all too much. Three years later it still amazes me that how, whenever we get together in person, that we are "real" friends, that conversation flows easily and that laughs come often. I appreciate it so.

It doesn't seem like three years. It seems like a lifetime, but in a good way. Thank you for reading, for commenting, and for being there when I need you. Ok, time for me to get the kleenex out.

Happy Three! Just scrap the whole blogroll. Many of the blogs I read don't have one at all.

Happy anniversary.

I feel the same way about my reader. I also feel like I am personally insulting someone when I delete their feed.

Happy happy!

Really, you always send out bday cards on time? I hope if I continue reading here some of that adult responsibility will rub off on me. (because, uh, yeah, it *is* all about me.)

Happy Blogaversary! I'm still under one year and often go back to my beginnings to see how things have changed. My trip back memory lane always brings a smile around April when you chose me for a "best post" award. I've always treasured that award because it was the first major time that I realized someone outside my circle of friends was actually looking at my blog!
I'm glad you're out there!

I so hear you! My feed reader has gotten totally out of hand. I've been trying to trim it this week, and it's a very tricky proposition.

Happy blogiversary! My 3 year blogiversary is in 2 days. When I started blogging, I never thought I'd actually go this long. Of course, now I'm completely hooked...

I bet the conversation flows so easily due to your talent. Even from here I can tell you're totally approachable.

Hope we get to meet one day. Happy Blogaversary!

Happy anniversary!

Mine is just another week or so away. Can't believe it's been 3 years.

I'm glad you're still writing, and I hope I'll get to chat with you again in Chicago this summer. It's sad we bloggers only get to see each other once or twice a year in person.

I'm coming up on three years as well. :) Happy Blogaversary!

My blogroll is ever morphing, but I have an old copy on one of my side pages, and sometimes I pop on over and find a blog I had forgotten, but that I once loved. Then I may add them again. :)

Happy anniversary, Suebob. I don't always comment, but you're one of my favourite reads.

Thanks for the kind words over at my place. I really don't mind if you comment or not. I know what that's like - to read, understand, even enjoy, but not feel like I need to add anything. It's not like we go to the movies, then afterwards raise our hand and announce our impressions to the audience as they filter out of the theater. So no need to apologize.

I've enjoyed you quite a bit these last several years. You have such an intelligent, fair, self-confident perspective, and I always appreciate it. Good on ya, SueBob!

It's really amazing and life changing to start writing online and then realize that you've become a part of something bigger than you ever expected - a community of friends near and far who truly help you through the dark times and cheer you on every step of the way.
Glad to know you Sue Bob.
