My gynie doc is the greatest. She is the woman that you can just tell was the smartest AND prettiest in her high school class. Two words: blonde ringlets. That's what I am talking about.
We were discussing the menopause situation. Crap.
Sb: I went three months without a period and then I had one.
Cute Doc: Was it a normal period?
Sb: Yeah.
Cute Doc: Do you have hot flashes and night sweats?
Sb: Yeah, some. Not so bad.
Cute Doc: Do you feel like you have PMS all the time?
Sb: CHA! Totally.
I sounded like a 14-year old. She laughed.
Cute Doc: You're the first person who has been honest about that all week!
Sb: Why lie? I feel like killing people all the time. It has become standard practice to save emails for 10 minutes before I send them out so I don't say something stupid and wreck my career.
Cute Doc: That's brilliant.
Sb: I know, I know. I'll send you my bill.

Oh sister, i pray for you that it doesn't get any worse.
Because if you throw lack of sleep into that mix (from overwhelming hot flashes every 20 minutes) you will become a horrible beast.
Ask me how i know this.
I have these problems and I am not going through menopause. Your tips are always appreciated.
No, YOU'RE the smartest and prettiest, and also the funniest.
Yeah, see, I don't miss the periods, it's my sanity that I kinda miss.
I haven't had a period in 8 years (woo-hoo!), but I can't blame the temper on menopause, either. Gotta find some other excuse....
You're too young for menopause aren't you?
I remember when my mom went through, she had hot flashes so bad her glasses would fog up. she'd get so frustrated about it she'd get the giggles!
I started a medication once that gave me hot flashes until my system was used to it... I do NOT envy you that crap!
Dang, not fun.
Your doctor sounds McDreamy. Could you get her number for me?
Wait, on second thought, I don't know if I could date a gyn. I can be a tad bit jealous and would always be wondering who was in her stirrups now.
It won't last long if you are related to me. Just about a year. Thanks to all the good genes we got.
Yup, that's how I feel, and I had a hyster 4 years ago.....argh
Yep!! Me too!!
Hugs!!
:)
As my menopausal friend Carol said about us, "We used to be nice."
Wanting to kill people?? I've been going through menopause MY WHOLE LIFE!
I don't think menopause is making me crankier than normal, but my metabolism has slowed to the point of near non-existence. I can't decide if I want to fight the weight gain or just surrender to it and sit on my couch eating pizza.
I shudder to think how much shorter my fuse will get in the next 10 years.
