Essay question

The weight-loss drug Alli is now available over-the-counter.

Is it worth pooping your pants to lose weight? Discuss. No judgement - I really want to know.

I've been trying like crazy to lose weight the past few weeks, eating healthy and working out, and I would love it if there were truly a magic button that could make it easier, but I can't imagine being tempted to take a drug that comes with instructions to "wear dark pants and take a change of clothes to work." Yeah, THAT sounds like a great way to live.

It seems like the very act of pooping your pants will help you lose weight, at least a little bit. And providing that you change your pants after each poop.

This is the first i've heard of this one.
It would not be worth it to me, but weight is not an issue for me and so i don't feel like i can say that it is not worth it for anyone.

I'm thinking no. I've been struggling to rid myself of some extra weight for about oh two years now. But pooping my pants? Hmmm, I think I'll keep looking.

Coming from someone who HAS shit his pants before. I don't think anything is worth shitting one's pants over...except a LOT of money...like 50 dollars.

It's over-the-counter now b/c doctors wouldn't prescribe it.

No ma'am, nor worth it. I'd rather be a little chubby than skinny with poopy pants. I'm all about avoiding the embarrassment.

Wow, what a coincidence...please see my blog for my answer, LOL. Last night before bed I went OFF on Alli chez Snackie!

Nope. Since having The Girl I can barely contain my pee. Why would I want to jeopardize my poo-holding ability?

If there was very little pants-pooping and very much weight-losing then maybe. But I'm a little skeptical of this Alli stuff for some reason.

No.

OH my, is that one of the side effects? Really? And the stuff is flying off the shelves. It seems that sales of Depends will also be skyrocketing.

Funny, Alli was the topic of my "Weird Wednesday" post last night...www.acharmedlife.typepad.com. My beef with it is that let's say you've been "good" all day long and eaten lots of fiber-rich, protein-packed healthy foods. Then you go have a scoop of ice cream. That's actually how you're supposed to handle a maintenance diet at your ideal weight...healthy food and then occasional treat. But if you're using Alli to lose a few pounds, and your treat to yourself puts you a few fat grams above the recommended amount, you will not only soil yourself, but thanks to all that healthy fiber, it's gonna come out at high-speed. No thanks, I'd rather be chubby! But it's easy for me to say, I just lost all my weight!

Good luck to anyone who tries it...just stock up on dark pants first!

Such BS. It's almost like shitting your pants is punishment for not following the recommended diet.

And "gas with oily spotting"? That's pretty horrifying.

As my 12-year-old would say, "Duh! Um, no."
