Seeing signs

People search for years...

The next time someone needs spiritual advice, tell them to turn right at the light.

Do politicians lack "Common cents"?

I ate at a restaurant with this sign back in the parking lot:

It worries me that they have such sudden and violent needs to do a sewer clean-out that they have to warn you not to park there. Right?

********

Oh, and today is the day. Schmutzie Pickles says so. Delurk, for the sake of all that is good and worthy!

Bossy is taking your post as a sign. (snort)

I would be less likely to eat at a restaurant that was built near a sewer cleanout. But that's just me.

Yeah, really, who STAYS at a restaurant where there's a nearby sewer cleaning going on. That just seems...icky. I don't have the, er, intestinal fortitude for such a thing.

Is it delurking when you already comment regularly?

Happy DeLurk!

I'm no lurker, but I'll comment anyway. How're you doing?

I'm thinking the air might be a bit pungent over a sewer clean-out. How'd you like that smell lingering in your car? Eww...

I've commented before, but have been lurking lately. This is a post after my own heart. As a newspaper editor, it drives me crazy to see things misspelled. I almost walked out of a store yesterday because one sign (handprinted by an employee) said "No personal checks excepted" and another (printed up by corporate and used in all stores) said "Is your office properly equipt?"

So I don't drive anyone crazy trying to figure out what was wrong, it should be "accepted" and "equipped." And don't even get me started about that vs. which!

Those are great! I don't come across funny signs very often. Maybe I should be more perceptive.

Good morning and happy MOFO!
I love seeing signs that make me laugh.
But the editor (grammar police!) in me goes just a little nuts with the rampant misspelling. It sometimes seems that people don't even try anymore. I mean, come on, "your invited to come for Thanksgiving" from my sister-in-law? Uh, thanks, but my what is invited?

Have a great day!

I love random signage. My favorite is an alley in OKC, Flaming Lips Alley.
