You know my sister's name was Laura.
At BlogHer 2007, I got a new friend, whose name is Laurie. Which is far enough from Laura to not squinch my heart up every time I say it, but close enough to make me think that sometimes families aren't necessarily made by genes.
It also makes me think that having someone you really love take your photograph somehow makes you prettier.

Freakin' gorgeous. Both of you :) (as is the lady behind the camera). Please, pretty please, add this to the Own Your Beauty poolhttp://www.blogher.com/own-your-beauty-flickr-group
Great picture! I guess I need to start passing my camera around to people who love me. Have you said Goldie is part greyhound? I kind of recall that, and if so I can really see it in this picture. I have two retired racing greys - such awesome dogs.
great picture! and goldie does look particularly greyhound-ish.
i love the new header picture too. go, goldie, go!
Everything about this post is lovely.
That's a couple of good looking gals right there.
Great picture. Also, having your picture taken WITH someone you love makes you prettier too.
Love the photo of you and Goldie. :)
What a great picture, of both you and Goldie! Bless Laurie! I saw that she was out in your direction and wondered if y'all were together.
Great photo of the both of you. A smile is always brighter when a loved one is holding the camera. that's why studio portraits always look so cheesy. At least for me :o)
This might show up twice. I had to cut and paste and delete my former comment because of a bad typo...oops
You and Goldie are both adorable. ;)
This honors me very much, I hope you know. It was so awesome to meet Goldie and your mom and see where you lived and hung out. What a great day with you and Deb. I'll never forget it.
I honestly do think that who takes a photo matters. You can somehow feel the affection that the photographer has for the subject.
You do look really pretty and happy there. And Goldie looks like she's thinking about chasing things.
