Barack Hussein Obama

Just a note to those Republicans who emphasize Obama's middle name, as if that means something:

Making fun of people's names went out in fourth grade. Adults don't do that kind of thing.

I remain,

You're making a giant assumption there. Adults?

I was called "Clyde" for years after the 6th grade announcement over the speaker to the whole school misread "Cynde".

OK, my "word verification" is mfvgd. My computer must be in a bad mood!

PunditGirl hates that her last name rhymes with a popular fast food! She's doomed, I tell you!

Mine's Marie because my mom was hoping I would take after the Virgin Mary...yeah didn't work.

I imagine Obama expected this since after all, he described himself at the DNC 4 years ago as the ",skinny kid with the funny name," before there was even talk of him running for president.

I heard a poll on the radio last night about whether it's unfair to call Obama by his full name. I say yes because they're not doing it for the other candidates (I don't even know John McCain's middle name) and it's obviously only an issue because someone wants to make the Islamic association with Hussein.

My middle name is Anna, which meant I grew up as "Anna-Banana."

Hi, Suebob

I read your blog every day even though I rarely comment (sorry about that)

I saw this article this morning and it made me think of you - especially that post where you ended with:
If the president is largely a figurehead, then give me a figurehead who makes me feel good for a change

Thought you might find this interesting...

If the use of one's middle name determines electability. Whatever will they think of my dear brother with his middle name: Woodcock?
And just what judgments would ya like to place on that??

Hussein is not a good name in this country, but look at the names of the two guys running the country now, Dick & Bush, cmon! (and there used to be a Colin in with that mess!)
