I have some weird superstitions:
1. I hate it when I am driving and I go on a bridge either over or under a moving train. This happened to me twice this week.
2. I will not sign a check in red ink.
3. I only pick up pennies that are heads up.
4. I think the number 23 is the luckiest number.

In Korea, they believe that if you write someone's name in red, they will die.
Do you watch "Lost"? They have made a recurring theme of the number 23. It is quite an auspicious number.
I swear to you that I read "pennies" and "penises" like THREE TIMES IN A ROW. And I was like, "Hah. Heads up. That's funny. Wait. What?"

My only random stuff is.. well not really random at all.
'cept I will only write in black ink... never use any other colors and hate pencils but must use them for work.
I become unreasonable irritated when I hear my parents shorten names of people or items. Dorothy is "Dot". The restaurant La Madelein is "La Mad". Their old car (The Cavalier) was "The Cav". It makes me want to scream.
OMG where can I begin with all my superstitious crazy stuff? I always pick up pennies. But I also have to say out loud while I'm picking them up,"Find a penny, pick it up. It will bring you lots of luck." I also don't store knives in such a way that they will point at anyone who happens to be in the house. This is hard since I move a lot but luckily I've always been able to find a drawer that will point them outwards. Those are the only too I'll admit to today. All my superstitions would make a good blog post!
I always liked 24. I'm not sure why, I just have. But I always pick up pennies. It's money! I'm too cheap to not pick them up.

I won't pick up a penny when things are going well because I think it's bad luck not to leave the good luck for someone who needs it more. This is not a weird superstition, however. It is perfectly reasonable.
If I am in the car and a song comes on that I love, I will listen to the end of it, even if I have stopped the car at my destination.
I have always been a fan of 4 and 7, but not 47. Can't explain why.
I make wishes when I see white horses, I don't open umbrellas indoors, and I love the number 3. And full moons. :)
Oh, and I don't walk under ladders.

My number is 19. my bday is 2/19, my scout troop was 219, my homeroom in 3 different schools was 119.

I cringe when people drop silverware in my house. When I was growing up, I was told that, it meant that company was coming.

Do you think number one is due to the fact Dad used to park under the train trestle when the train was going over because "that was the safest place to be."? It used to scare me to death!

I'm not superstitious. A train bridge actually came down on some people in my city a few years ago - while a train was going over it. Not that that's likely to happen to you!
I'm not superstitious at all, really.
But I get literal shivers every time I cross over a rail-road track.
I have this weird idea that anything signed in red ink nullifies itself.
23 is my most favorite number ever.. LOVES IT!!!
i hate being in traffic and getting stuck UNDER an overpass... i freak out hte whole time until i get the fuck out from under it.
