No longer a cold and lonely universe

I have major girl issues about clothes and hair and nails etc.

Soul Gardening perfectly expressed my feelings in her post, and some of the comments resonate with me as well.

Non-girly-girls, unite!

I was JUST THINKING this about me! I see some of the Moms at our school and they are SO PRETTY! Hair highlighted, nails done, teeth whitened...and I'm lucky if I have ONE of these things done! thanks for the post and the link!

Gawd. She could totally have written that post about me. I do *try* but I always wonder how they pull it all off. I have no children and no job right now, but I'm lucky to get a shower and dress before 11am every day. Chuh. I can't imagine competing with soccer moms and such. :P

I think about putting makeup on. About 30 percent of the time I manage a little eyeliner and eyeshadow...

I don't have kids yet either but I figure I'm already prepared for that time when you have a newborn and you don't get to shower for a week at a time. Baseball caps are my friend ;o)
I was just thinking about this issue again last night as I walked out the door with nothing but my ID. I don't have the wherewithal to keep up with a purse. Even when I do carry one, there's no makeup in it except maybe a lipstick shoved all the way down at the bottom. And I've never owned a stylish bag, which may account for why I don't like carrying them, but I refuse to spend $100 on a purse.
Thanks for the link!

I'm also incredibly lazy unless I have specific things I want to accomplish. Take today, I'm still in my PJs and it's 2:38pm. lol
