Nancy at aqua aerobics was telling me how her daughter, who is 16, had come home late from a movie with her boyfriend.
Nancy was already in bed.
"I heard them come in and heard them talking, then it got quiet, but I didn't hear him leave. So I texted her and told her Aaron had to go home. She texted me back 'No cuddling?' and I texted her 'NO.'"
She texted her daughter so she didn't have to get up out of bed and face the boyfriend in her PJs.
Who says technology isn't making life better?

Awesome! By the time my 2 year old is 16, heaven knows what other problems they will have solved with technology.
Oh, for sure! Texting has been such a key part of my communication with my daughters.
And she also didn't have to walk in on her daughter making out with her boyfriend.
*taking notes*
Now, see, I guess I'm on the other side of this. My mother, when she found out that I was sleeping with my boyfriend (I pretty much told her), confronted him, on the back porch, in the yard, WHILE WEARING HER RATTIEST BATHROBE! It was HORRIFYING! And it remains one of my favorite "boyfriend" memories and one we laugh about all the time (now, LOL).
And I have to add that when my last ex treated me badly, she said, "Do you want me to get the bathrobe and have a talk with him?" I'm in my 40s. You just can't beat that for awesome parenting.
