This time of year is sloooooow at work. We will get hammered in January and the fun won't stop til July or so, but right now we are all busy polishing paper clips and drawing murals on the whiteboard. I know, it's rough, but it pays the bills.
While I am daydreaming at work, I always have these great blog post ideas. What about those idiot drivers? How messed up is Christianity today? And why does Katie Couric photograph like she has been dipped in wax? Yes, fabulous blogging possibilities race through my head.
But I don't write them down because work is PC and home is Mac and they still, despite everything, don't work and play well together. I can create a PC word doc at work and come home and I have to fix every single punctuation mark so it won't look like some weird alien language. And inevitably I miss one and have to go back again and again and by the time I am done fixing my 200 word diatribe on people who don't use turn signals, it is 9 pm and the dog is still waiting to be walked.
So I come home and think "What was it that I was going to write about?" and you get this instead.
Poor you.
True Employee Confessions is off to a slow start. Please email your confessions to snackisblogATyahoo.com. Someone mentioned that I should get the new blog its own email but yikes, I have at least 7 email addresses that I neglect on a regular basis. I don't know how many more I can handle.
Oh, yeah, there is Linkateria, too. Good stuff like this 15-second video of a sneezing Panda that I have only watched about 10 times now.

Suebob, I love you! I saw this clip on Animal Planet, and have wanted to hunt it down ever since.
Thank You!!!
It's slow at my work too. Weird.
You should get a job working for a major bakery supplier like my husband-they get slammed this time of year!
And awww, the sneezing baby panda is so cute. Such a LOUD sneeze for such a tiny animal.
Your True Employee Confessions site seems to be coming along well to me. It always takes a while for new sites to catch on. Hang in there.
And the Linkateria site is also good. I always find something interesting and usually very funny there..
3 words, my dear:
Pen and paper.
We can even get you a pretty notebook for you to write down your future blogs, so you don't forget them. Sure, you still have to type them, but it will probably be faster than trying to transverse 2 computer systems.
Pandas are always cute.
She DOES always look waxy doesn't she? It's weird.
This may be a dumb question, but can't you compose in Blogger and then save it without publishing... or is that not righty-oh with the IT people?
Here's a question, since I'm stuck at home: what do you feed your dog if you run out of dog food? Yesterday it was a hot dog and a dried-out baguette. I'm going to the store in about an hour, but any thoughts on a snack?
Cool panda clip. Even when you think you aren't saying something, you are. I don't how many times I've done the same thing and sat at the computer thinking, damn it was such a great idea, why can't I remember it?
You know, I've always prided myself on being fairly immune to television advertising, but I guess I'm not, since I totally just pictured you playing all day with John Hodgman, and then going home at night to Justin Long. PC and Mac get along so well in those commercials. Hee.
Have you considered writing such posts in your email, and sending them to whatever address you use at home?
Ditto to country mouse. I did that all the time when I was gainfully emplyed back in the day!
Instead of opening your PC Word documents in Word on the mac, open them in TextEdit. Then do a "save as" rtf. It'll keep all your formatting and let you edit, no problem.
I sneeze like that. I do.
Um, why don't you write your posts into an email and send it to yourself?
